New Thai variety! 'Athena' was bred by Master uncle Toi of Bangkok. When I got this from his market stall in Sanam Luang back in 2019, he told me that this is one of his latest hybrids and he only had 2. So I took the 2 specimens and brought them to the USA.
Blooms of ATHENA would open white and would slowly acquire bright, stunning, deep- pink streaks later in its flowering stage. Bracts would turn yellow depending on the amount of light the plant gets, yellower in summer and lighter during winter.
Offered is one small plant, about 8 inches tall, in bloom, shown on the last 3 photos.
