Crown of Thorns Dragon's Emerald or Yod Khon Pon is a striking red variety distinguished by its remarkably intense green undertones and exceptional overall color saturation. What sets this cultivar apart is the vivid contrast between its rich red pigmentation and bold green hue, with both colors creating a vibrant, high-impact display. Thegreen coloration appears especially pronounced along the edges of the blooms, enhancing the dramatic contrast and giving the flowers added depth and dimension. Known for producing large, eye-catching flowers, this jumbo bloomer makes a bold statement and serves as a standout addition to any collection. 

This is a recent hybrid, and its color pattern is NOT the same as the older varieties. Many older cultivars have a chartreuse flare somewhere on the bract — sometimes big, sometimes just a sliver. This new hybrid is different: the greening forms a clean, prominent line along the edge of the bract, and the main color is much deeper and richer. Same color family does NOT mean same cultivar.
