Euphorbia Milii Crown of Thorns PHLOEN PIROM Coronas de Cristo
Crown of Thorns 'Phloen Pirom' : A cloud of pink champagne blooms that seems to flower without end.
Some varieties produce flowers. Phloen Pirom creates celebrations.
Named after the Thai expression for joy, delight, and contentment, this extraordinary cultivar adorns itself with massive dome-shaped flower clusters composed of dozens upon dozens of softly ruffled bracts. Creamy white petals are splashed and brushed with shades of blush pink, cotton-candy rose, and touches of lime green, creating a display that feels both elegant and whimsical.
Each bloom cluster resembles a handcrafted bouquet, with layers of curled petals packed so densely that the flowers appear almost double. As the blooms mature, subtle shifts in color weave through the clusters, revealing new combinations of pearl white, soft pink, and watercolor variegation.
But beauty is only half of the story.
Phloen Pirom is celebrated for its exceptional flower production, often covering itself with massive bloom heads that persist for months. Even a single branch can become a spectacle, while mature specimens transform into living arrangements of pastel blossoms.
Still relatively uncommon in American collections, this remarkable Thai cultivar offers collectors something truly special: the rare combination of novelty, elegance, and astonishing blooming power.
Please note that this specific offering of Crown of Thorns Phloen Pirom is a newly imported bare-root cutting from my favorite Thai grower.
Unlike the leafy plants I normally ship, these beauties are processed immediately upon arrival from the USDA Plant Inspection Station. Coming straight through customs means they arrive without leaves, flowers, or buds in accordance with USDA rules. They are bare rooted and ready for you to wake them up in their new home!
With a little patience and the right care, these rooted cuttings will develop leaves, put on fresh growth, and reward you with beautiful blooms in the seasons ahead. There is something truly special about watching a bare cutting transform into a flowering plant that is uniquely yours.
Offered is one bare rooted small plant without leaves, approximately 7 inches long. You will receive one of the bare rooted cuttings shown on the last photo.
