Prince of Orange — Prolific, Cupped, Long‑Lasting Crown of Thorns (Euphorbia milii)

Prince of Orange is a standout Thai hybrid celebrated for its thick, cupped bracts in a vivid orange tone that glows even in soft light. Each bloom is substantial and waxy, holding its shape for an impressively long duration. On mature plants, a single stalk can carry up to 32 flowers, arranged so tightly and symmetrically that the cluster forms a near‑perfect sphere.

This cultivar is highly prolific, producing continuous waves of new clusters that rise firmly above the foliage. The stems are strong and upright, easily supporting the weight of the heavy blooms without drooping — a trait clearly visible in your photos. As the plant enters peak productivity, the sheer quantity of flowers overtakes the canopy, leaving the leaves almost completely hidden beneath the mass of color.

With its combination of dense bloom production, long-lasting bracts, and exceptional structural strength, Prince of Orange is a premium selection for collectors who value both form and performance. It is the type of Crown of Thorns that becomes a centerpiece instantly — bright, bold, and reliably dramatic throughout the year.

Rare! This beauty was developed by one of my favorite master breeders in Thailand (RIP).

For sale is one good-sized plant about 11-12 inches tall, shown in the last 2 photos.
