หวานใจ or Hwan Chai (Jai) or "Dulce Corazon/c Cariño"
is a distinguished premium hybrid celebrated for its massive, sculptural bracts — the kind that stop collectors mid‑scroll. Each bloom displays giant, oval-shaped red bracts with a pronounced cupped architecture, giving the flowers a deep, bowl‑like form that feels almost carved rather than grown.
The bracts are thick, heavy, and richly saturated, holding their shape even as they expand. When fully open, they create a dramatic, oversized display that easily surpasses the dimensions of standard Crown of Thorns varieties. The bloom clusters sit high and proud, forming large, commanding domes that stay vibrant for an impressively long period.
Its strong branching habit means Hwan Chai doesn’t just bloom — it stages a performance. Multiple clusters emerge simultaneously, each one packed with these giant cupped bracts, creating a layered, architectural look that fills the plant with color from top to bottom.
This is the kind of cultivar that makes collectors rethink what “large bracts” actually mean. A true showpiece, built for growers who appreciate size, structure, and long-lasting floral drama.
